How is exact age calculated?
Your exact age is the calendar gap between your birth moment and the chosen date. The tool subtracts years, months, days, hours, minutes and seconds in order, and borrows the real length of the previous month (28, 29, 30 or 31 days) when a value goes below zero. That is why 31 January to 1 March gives 29 days, not 30.
Age in days, hours and minutes
How to calculate age in days and hours?
Count the days between two dates, then multiply by 24 for hours, 1,440 for minutes and 86,400 for seconds. 10,000 days equals 240,000 hours. The dashboard does this live, so the totals tick up every second.
Leap years and time zones
Leap days are counted in your totals, and totals are measured on calendar time so daylight-saving changes do not shift your day count. If you were born on 29 February, your birthday is shown on 1 March in non-leap years.
